Weeks 58, 59 & 60

I know... it's been waaaaaay too long. Scott's been out of town since August 8. We miss him so much but family calls. He is out taking care of his grand-dad until... His grandparents live in AZ. We video call every night and Xander loves to hold the phone and "talk" to his daddy while moving quickly across the floor. Xander is growing so fast. He and Bones are building their friendship. They follow each other around and tease one another all the time.

I move like a ninja~ mommy can't catch me! This time I fell off the bed face first

Wesley is my new friend. He comes to daycare almost everyday.

He's fun to play with when he's not crying... He cries a lot.

Week 56 & 57

The last couple of weeks have been rough. Scott went to stay with his grandparents so that he can take care of his grandad in his last moments of life. We felt that Scott needed to go and that I would stay and keep running the daycare. It has been an adjustment. Xander misses his daddy dearly and has shed tears and frequently looks towards the door when people knock and I see his little body deflate when daddy doesn't walk through the door. I love peanut butter and jelly...

The babysitter could only get me to sleep this way...

Food just needs to be enjoyed~ completely...

Xander is wonderful. I can't imagine what goes through his little head. He's always thinking and searching and analyzing. He is so serious. He loves to feed himself even though mommy has to help him sometimes. His napping patterns are changing and I think he will be taking just one nap a day instead of his standard two. As you can see he is transitioning to a sippy cup but he does still love his bottle~ we will have to break him of that soon. He has two new molars on the bottom- one on each side. He loves to play with the kids in daycare. We now have 3 month old Jaylyn and her sister 4 year old Sierra, 5 month old Wesley, 1 1/2 year old Josalin (exactly 6 months older than Xan) and her 3 year old brother Jordan. We have part time kids too. I love to hear my sweet boy giggle with the other kids. Xander loves his dog, Bones and I often find them playing together. Xander has also found the pots and pans in the kitchen and LOVES to pull them all out and make noise with them.

Week 54 & 55

Xander loves his puppy and they are learning to live and play together. Bones is quite patient with Xander. They'll play tug of war with the rope and Xander pulls on Bones ears and fur. They snuggle and are becoming fast friends. We are happy to have Bones as part of our lives. That's my boy...

Xander has physical therapy tomorrow and we have been working with him here at home. He will walk with his music walker (Thank you, Lindsey). Other than that he's still army crawling around. He loves to feed himself and his puppy and will take a bite and then drop one down to the ground for his dog. We try to explain why this is bad, but... Update- Xander went to the therapist, Ryan, this morning. Ryan was very impressed with Xander's strength,the definition in his stomach and arm muscles. He said Xander is the strongest little boy he's ever seen. He laughed when he saw Xander do his little army crawl. As Ryan placed Xander in front of toys he perked up and played. Ryan stated that Xander is very intelligent. Xander examines everything before he touches it. Ryan said that he wasn't autistic as he is quite physical and doesn't have any of the markers. Ryan also said that his strength was amazing and that when he "wanted to" he would probably pass over crawling and go straight to walking. We are not as worried. Ryan also stated that Xander was the cutest baby he'd ever worked with. I love that little man... He is the cutest little man!!

Week 53

We got through the first year and are better for the journey. Xander is loving his life and exploring new things~ Thank you, Uncle Ben & Aunt Laurel & cousins for the fun gift...

We are so excited to start a new year with our little man. He is adorable and loves to jabber on and on. He says momomomomom and dadadadada, which is wonderful. He has a dog that he is becoming best friends with. He loves the toys he got for his birthday and is soooooo grateful to his grandpa and grandma Barney and Cook for the gifts that are helping to build his future. He is a blessed little man and is so very loved by people he hasn't even met yet. My little man is wonderful and beautiful and the best thing to happen in our lives.

Year One

Where is my baby so tiny and sweet? I've looked and looked but no baby I see. I glance in the closet and under the bed. I miss that little sweet pea I pull back the covers and look under the sheet But where oh where could my baby be? Looking up at me my brown eyed boy, Holds up his hands to be gathered softly up. His innocent laughter is my greatest joy A year has passed but the baby's not gone Just bigger and brighter Like morning dawn's first ray. He's perfect. He's happy. And he's all mine. From this....

Week 51 & 52

Wow!! Xander is almost a year old!! It's crazy how fast the time flew by. We love this little man so very much and he is coming into the best little personality. He has the cutest laugh and the best smile ever. We are completely obsessed! Bath time in the sink...

Week 49 & 50

Sweetest little man is growing so fast. He's adorable and loves to crawl all over the house. He's standing, but only if we help him. He loves to feed himself- anything he kind find- which still includes paper, tires (from all the little cars which no longer have tires), and the food that the other little ones throw down to him. Look how cute I am... I love to crawl into tight spaces... I may need help getting out of here...
