Week 53

We got through the first year and are better for the journey. Xander is loving his life and exploring new things~ Thank you, Uncle Ben & Aunt Laurel & cousins for the fun gift...

We are so excited to start a new year with our little man. He is adorable and loves to jabber on and on. He says momomomomom and dadadadada, which is wonderful. He has a dog that he is becoming best friends with. He loves the toys he got for his birthday and is soooooo grateful to his grandpa and grandma Barney and Cook for the gifts that are helping to build his future. He is a blessed little man and is so very loved by people he hasn't even met yet. My little man is wonderful and beautiful and the best thing to happen in our lives.

Year One

Where is my baby so tiny and sweet? I've looked and looked but no baby I see. I glance in the closet and under the bed. I miss that little sweet pea I pull back the covers and look under the sheet But where oh where could my baby be? Looking up at me my brown eyed boy, Holds up his hands to be gathered softly up. His innocent laughter is my greatest joy A year has passed but the baby's not gone Just bigger and brighter Like morning dawn's first ray. He's perfect. He's happy. And he's all mine. From this....

Week 51 & 52

Wow!! Xander is almost a year old!! It's crazy how fast the time flew by. We love this little man so very much and he is coming into the best little personality. He has the cutest laugh and the best smile ever. We are completely obsessed! Bath time in the sink...

Week 49 & 50

Sweetest little man is growing so fast. He's adorable and loves to crawl all over the house. He's standing, but only if we help him. He loves to feed himself- anything he kind find- which still includes paper, tires (from all the little cars which no longer have tires), and the food that the other little ones throw down to him. Look how cute I am... I love to crawl into tight spaces... I may need help getting out of here...

Week 48

Better late than never. What a week. Little man, Xan is having a painful few days. Poor little one is teething and it is causing the yucky fever and crying. Oh, how I wish I could take the hurt from him. Not sure it would matter as I too have been in tremendous pain. Oh,to be a female. Six weeks and terrible shooting pain. But, I digress. If we stand him up then he will hold on tight... Scott introduced Xander to meat and he loves it!!! My poor little one laid there and cried while I got his bottle ready... By the time I got back with the bottle he was asleep. My sweetest boy has a new favorite in his life... hammock, the rocking~

Week 46 & 47

Life just seems to be running so fast we can't seem to keep up. Xander still won't crawl and he refuses to sit for daddy and mommy. He doesn't even want me to hold him when he eats. Silly boy is growing up so fast. He thinks he's getting too big for his mommy, but daddy walks in the room and Xander just wants to be held and cuddled. I tell you! Little man... We try to take a walk every day. Sweet Xander loves to look around at everything... He's also found the cars and trucks and knows how to dump them out so that he can play with them... And a... wink? Daddy says, "Sit so I can get your shoes on." Xander finally gives in... After a full day of running errands Xander fell asleep while bouncing...

Week 45

Wow!! What a wonderful trip. Yes, Xander cried a lot and yes it was short, but it was wonderful... Steve and Jodi let us stay with them and, although Steve and Xander had a troubled relationship, they left on good terms. They even shook on it and Xander promised that the next time we visit he will try harder not to keep Steve up all night with his screams and cries... Xander was hesitant, at first...

But then he realized his mistakes and was willing to move on...

Xander picked up a new habit while we were on vacation. We're a little worried, but how do you break an infants habits?

Yup, he EATS hair... Loves his favorite Aunt Jack, though...

But, the best part, the best part was Tuesday, the day when we all became forever...

Because now Xander gets to be a part of this...

My sweet boy... I get to be his mom forever and I get to see this...

whenever I want. And Scott gets this...

whenever he wants. I personally believe life is wonderful!!
